An Introduction
To Paris Every Day
Paris Every Day launch day is officially here! It has been an emotional day filled with happy tears, celebrations, and a great sense of pride. I wanted to share the introduction I wrote for the book here on Substack.
Introduction
Coffee-table books are beautiful! We collect, stack, and let them sit pretty on display. We flip through the pages quickly, admire the photos, and return them to the coffee table or the shelf where we found them. My intention with this coffee-table book is that you pick it up at least four times a year.
This is a collection of photographs taken over 15 years in Paris. It was not one trip, but years spent capturing the city one frame at a time. The book is broken up by season, taking you through Paris through the cold months of winter, the blooms of spring, the heat of summer, the fall transition, and the year-end with Christmas.
Each chapter should feel like a trip to Paris. Jump into the photographs. Imagine your time in Paris with memories from past trips. If you haven’t been to Paris, I hope this book inspires you to take your first trip. Don’t wait for the exact right moment or person to travel with. Traveling solo is one of my favorite ways to experience Paris.
I have been fortunate to experience Paris in every season. I had the idea to publish a book, so I have been photographing and collecting images on every trip. Paris has been with me through many chapters of my life- from my first solo trip where I launched my phtogoraphy, to the loss of my grandma, a broken heart, an engagement, and now a special place for my husband and me. The city has changed with me over the past 15 years. Every twist, turn, and roadblock has led me to exactly where I am right now.
This is my love letter to the city of Paris. Paris Every Day is a collection of tiny moments combined to tell a larger story of Paris through my lens, season by season.
Thank you so much for all of your energy and excitement. I can’t wait to meet some of you in person, as I do at in-person events. Please shop local, drop into a small bookstore or local shop, and request Paris Every Day. They should be able to order you a copy, and it might be something another Francophile in the shop would enjoy, too. It is a win/win, supporting both a first-time author and a small business. Merci!

I am loving the book! I’ve only been to Paris in the spring, and seeing the pictures and content around the other seasons has inspired me to go on the fall and winter!
I ordered.. can’t wait to read🦋
