Weekend Notes From A Francophile #2
Back home in Chicago, spring clothes, and new beauty discoveries
Weekend reading is up on the blog! Grab your coffee and croissants. I made biscotti earlier in the week. A majority will be sent to my family. I kept a few for our morning coffee.
I arrived back in Chicago from Paris earlier this week, and I jumped right back into things. You can read all about my Paris agenda here.
Henri tagged along on as much as possible, including my coffee meeting. He was much better than I expected. A perfect pup angel.
Orders for The Print Shop shipped out. I still have some more to go. If you have not seen your order ship yet, it will ship early next week. Thank you for your patience.
Yulia was over for a shoot, and it was the first time in months we'd had warm enough weather to go outside!
Our farmers' market is back on the weekends, and we stopped by to pick up some pastries, bread, and honey. My allergies are out of control, and I am hoping the honey helps.
As I mentioned, the weather turned while we were away, and the trees finally have buds, and my garden is starting to show signs of life. I ordered this black fence to put up against our tulips to keep Henri out. My husband has volunteered to install it. I will report back.
While on Wayfair, I noticed our bistro set is on sale for under $100. This was such a good find. We love putting this out in the spring to sit with our neighbors during the good weather.
The pants I have been wearing on repeat. With a sweater and flats or a long-sleeve t-shirt and sneakers. They are so comfortable. REBECCAP15 gets you 15% off.
These were the shoes I saw all summer in the South of France. I wonder if they will be popular again this year.
Polka dots are in, and I am loving this skirt!
Alex Mill also launched their linen shop. So many good things. If you are a fan of the J.Crew soleil pants, these are a step up in fit, fabric (and price). I ordered them in chocolate brown and paired them with this linen blouse. Perfect to pair with a flat chocolate, brown, or white sandal. I also love this linen skirt in butter yellow, which I can’t wait to wear on repeat this summer.
I had my eye on a Polene bag in Paris and convinced myself to walk out of the store. Hint: the Bon Marche location near closing time has no line. My husband kept saying buy the bag, but I left, telling myself I need to use the ones I have at home more often to justify a new one. I did pull this one and this one out of my closet and can’t wait to add them to my rotation. This is the bag I saw most often in the evening out and about with Parisian women.
Sezane navy blouse that now comes in cream.
I am on the hunt for the perfect bucket hat for my small head. Cuyana may be the one who works!
Beauty Favorites This Week:
There are so many beauty favorites. I am very lucky to be able to try and test many different products for work. While in Paris, I purchased a lot of Sisley Paris products and updated my makeup. Including this concealer. A little goes a long way. It was important to invest in my skin, not just with my skincare but also with what I put on my face for makeup. I love Sisley, and although it is expensive, I find it is worth it. Stay tuned for more of what I bought while in Paris.
I have been back using my ZIIP Halo in the evening. It is just a quick routine using the microcurrent gel, and all the hard work happens when I sleep. Use the code REBHALO for 10% off. It doesn’t hurt, just a slight tingle.
Eighth Day serum is one of my favorites. I know I have my eye on these resurfacing pads.
I have really been enjoying this cream and serum from Mimethique.
This eye cream from Perricone has been incorporated into my beauty routine, and I just ordered it along with this serum.
My favorite nail polish brand, which I have been wearing on repeat, is 25% off. Use code SPRING25
