Weekend Notes From A Francophile #3
Weekend Reading, Credo sale and the new color I am bringing into our bedroom.
Weekend Reading is up on the blog. The hot shoe trends for spring 2026, how to be a better listener, summer dress trends, and spots where the French vacation.
There has been a lot of coverage for Devil Wears Prada. Have you seen the movie yet? I can’t decide if I will like it based on the trailer. Waiting for feedback.
This Week:
This week was a wild ride with some work hiccups that might bore you but really stressed me out. More and more, I think I need someone working with me in Chicago as extra support. I am only one person wearing a lot of hats.
Our big art festival is about a month away and I need to start prepping now. If you are in Chicago, stay tuned for more details on Wells Street.
The April Edit. Travel, birthdays, what I loved the most and wore on repeat, and so much more.
A Special Mother’s Day Gift Guide and a Giveaway
You have heard me rave about this Alex Mill tote. Yulia was over, and we finally got some photos of it to share. There are so many different color options and sizes. I have the everyday tote, which holds quite a bit. Recently, I have been using it for the Farmer’s Market. I find every excuse to bring it with me. It is super sturdy, and there is a zipper inside for your wallet and phone.
*wearing the Maddie skirt in size M and the Chiltern coat in size small. Shoes are Margaux.
What I Am Loving This Week
We love our Boll and Branch all-white bed. I just ordered these blue sheets to give a little pop of color. They should look beautiful with the navy walls and white duvet.
I crave this matcha in the morning. It is a great way to kick off the day with protein. I use almond milk with mine and put it in the Nespresso frother.
Rue de Verneuil teamed up with J.Crew, and it is so good!!
The Summer Lookbook for Sézane is worth getting up early for on a Sunday. The Will Jacket now comes in a new green color.
Spanx has a cute denim collection out now. Easy flare with patch pockets, and these shorts caught my eye. But really, can we have a moment for these gingham pants?
Ok, if you are loving the idea of gingham. How cute is this skirt? There will be gingham in my summer wardrobe if we can get a warm-up.
For those of you who told me to keep the ME+ EM dress. Thank you! I am so happy I did.
Sales Not to Miss
Don’t miss the Credo Friends and Family 20% off sale that ends today. Tata Harper, Westman Atelier, Bonjout balm, and Soshe are some of my favorites and are included. Also, don’t forget Iris and Romeo, and Roz. The list goes on. You can see my favorite products here.

I’m thinking either the Emile sweater or Othello. Sorry, about the comment. I must of read that on another’s post. Thanks so much for the link. I would enjoy the chat about Paris if it happens.
Hi, Elizabeth. A few weeks ago you mentioned exchanging a Sezane sweater because you weren’t happy with the size. I am about to order a sweater from them and am wondering about the sizing. I would normally buy a US M. Do you suggest going with my regular size?
