Weekend Notes from a Francophile #7
what locals say tourists should skip in Paris, a cute gingham dress, where to see me in Chicago next weekend
June kicked off with a packed agenda. Last week, we prepped the new tent to prepare for the upcoming art fair. I have lost count of how many times I have participated in the Wells Street Art Fair, and I still get nervous as if it were the first one. It is always exciting to meet new readers and see familiar faces. If you are in Chicago, stop by and say hello. I will have signed books, prints, totes, and more.
I am refreshing the weather app way too often one week away. We are there rain or shine.
Weekend Reading is up on the blog. This is a tradition in honor of my grandmother, who used to send me newspaper clippings with Post-it notes.
Some of my favorites this week include:
How to dress for the summer when it is really hot outside
What locals say tourists should skip in Paris
Where to dine outdoors in Paris this summer
How to beat the Sunday night scaries
What I Wore This Week:
We had a weekend full of activities and celebrations. I had a lot of outfit changes, keeping me on my toes. The weather was warm enough to embrace a dress, which I paired with these shoes.
This red blouse is a favorite, and I paired it with white Frame jeans. I think this outfit will be a favorite. I repeat it often.
I am all about the bracelet stack right now.
White blouse and jeans.
What Caught My Eye This Week
Chicago has gotten too warm for workout leggings. I am looking for the perfect pair of shorts for our weekend coffee walks with Henri and am eyeing these. Open to suggestions.
A few splurge items from Brochu Walker I am loving. This cashmere sweater and this dress. The Havana dress is a favorite I have in red and navy.
This Fit and Flare Maxi dress is perfect in all three colors.
Affordable waterproof Birkenstocks under $50. My husband and I both have these.
This slate-blue Chloe dress is always a home run.
I have had my eye on this white button-up, and it is finally back in stock.
