Sunday Reading #4
A Sézane outfit, what I read this week, Paris prep.
Sunday Reading is up on the blog. There are some great Airbnbs in Paris, how French girls are wearing their hair this spring, and the journals in Paris that have a celebrity following.
I took some time off on Monday and baked and cooked a bit. My dad always requests biscottis and I was overdue for sending a batch. Luckily, they arrived just before the snowstorm.
My mom taught me to always have chicken soup in the freezer. I use these souper cubes and froze 8 cups. We also had enough chicken stock for matzah ball soup, which, with the freezing cold temperatures, was a smart move. A reader chimed in that you can do this for sauces, too.
The weather has been brutally cold. I snuck out for Pilates and a mani/pedi. Keeping these self-care appointments on my calendar is important. I needed a pedicure before walking 10 miles a day in Paris.
I started and finished this book. Instead of scrolling my phone in the morning and before bed, I was reaching for a book to read.
I shared my favorite things of 2025 on the blog.
My husband and I stopped by an adorable new European-inspired grocery and wine cellar. We picked up sandwiches, and I bought a few more items from the grocery section while we waited. Everything was delicious, and I can’t wait to go back again.
Tell Patrick I sent you!
Upcoming Events for Paris Every Day
As I mentioned last week, I have a lot of events in a row. First up is POSH Chicago this Sunday, from 3-5 pm. Then, I am off to Paris with an exciting pinch-me moment for an event at Sézane. I spent some time this week looking for the perfect outfit, and I may have found it. See below!
Next up is Coppersfield’s Books at Little Saint in Healdsburg. One of my old Paris friends texted to say she is coming to the event. I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some blog readers.
Paris Planning for January
Paris Planning is well underway. I typically share a Paris Agenda. Aside from my event, I have a few projects I am kicking off. My days are mapped out, and I am finalizing restaurant reservations. I love trying old favorites to see if they still hold up, as well as discovering new ones. This goes for hotels, too! I have some new and old hotels on the agenda.
You can also follow along for behind-the-scenes on Instagram.
What I am Eyeing This Week
I have had my eye on a Rue de Verneuil bag for years. I am not sure how I never thought to pop in while in Paris. Now, it is on my agenda when I go to look at hairbrushes. Both are close to the Palais Royal.
We have been loving our Ruggable rugs. Now, I want to add this one to our entryway. With salt and dirt this winter, we need something durable but with a pop of color.
The Pio scarf is back in stock, and I have it in burgundy, but I added the navy. These go so quickly!
A travel charger with FindMy capabilities. How many times have you misplaced your charger? My husband and I are always searching!
These sneakers arrived from Evereve. I have been wanting to try this brand for a while. They run tts and are so cute.
Dyson launched “deal days,” and they include a lot of great items. Their hair dryer is on sale, along with our vacuum, which I love.
What I am Packing For Paris
The weather has been a hot topic for the US and for my upcoming Paris trip. I know it will be cold, and I have to think ahead to lots of layers, but make it chic. Lots of chunky sweaters. Stay tuned, I should have a list of everything I am packing for January soon. I went through my coat closet and settled on a Zadig and Voltaire coat because it had the highest wool content and should be the warmest.
I am hosting an event at Sézane. I think I have an outfit, but I am waiting to pick up this skirt when I arrive in Paris. I ordered the longer one, and it is beautiful, but it didn’t suit me as much as I wanted it to. It will be paired with this blouse, heels, and tights.
Thoughts? Also, Sézane hosted an event in New York City, and Leslie Bibb copied my outfit idea, or did I copy hers?!
Nerves and butterflies are high this week as I prepare. I am hosting an event at Sézane on the 29th. The guest list is full, with new and old friends and Everyday Parisian community members.

Will be anxious to hear your stories about Paris.
Love how thoughtfull the outfit planning is here. The wool content detail for warmth vs looking polished shows real event prep experience. I've always found the shorter skirt with tights approach works bettr for mobility at crowded events, plus it reads more modern than the longer options. The Sezane event sounds incredible!
