Sunday Reading #5
Bonjour from Paris
I have been soaking up every raindrop, coffee, and croissant crumb this week in Paris. It has been a whirlwind and is going way too fast.
Sundays in Paris are my favorite, and I plan to visit friends, go to the market, photograph as much as possible, have a solo lunch date, and get a facial. (a new spot I will report back on).
I overbooked myself this trip, and I have been focusing on unplugging and being present. This has allowed me to think up bold new ideas and reflect on the past year.
Weekend Reading is Up on The Blog
A cream colored apartment in Paris, the decline of the French bistro, and dopamine-boosting habits.
This Substack was started as The Paris Diaries, a fun way to recap my Paris trips. Once I am home, I will share more details, including the places I have stayed and eaten at, and everything I bought!
Sézane Book Party
One of my big objectives this week in Paris was the Sézane book party for Paris Every Day. Of course, I put a lot of stress on myself before arriving, and it was a lovely event and felt a bit surreal. If you have been following me for a while, you know Sézane is one of my favorite brands. I even wear one of their sweaters on the book's cover. This was a dream come true and really wonderful to share with friends and Everyday Parisian community members.
A Photo Shoot Giveaway
Every year, I do a special giveaway at this time with my friend Katie Donnelly. She is an incredible photographer in Paris and has shot me since 2017. Katie took a very shy photographer (me) and made me comfortable in front of the camera. A true gift for portraits and family photography. Whenever someone is going to Paris, I try to connect them with me because a photo session there is one of the best souvenirs.
Share this giveaway with friends or family who are headed to Paris in 2026.
Packing for Paris
My husband will be reading this as he usually does, and I hate to admit I overpacked for Paris. Just a few things. My challenge this evening is finding a spot for everything as I prepare to fly home.
I have no regrets about packing this coat. It was a gift from Zadig and Voltaire last year and has kept me warm on some cold days.
This scarf was also a hero for Paris in the winter. I went for a very grey theme this trip, wearing these black boots I walked 20,000 miles in.
What I Bought in Paris
This t-shirt was a favorite purchase from last year, and with the sales, they were so reasonable I couldn’t resist buying a few more.
I broke down and bought a Bonne Brosse brush since so many people asked if they were worth it. Stay tuned for a report back.
More to come in a longer blog post. I decided to cut myself off from shopping for today since I am short on space. Henri did get a few good things too, and I cannot wait to see him soon.
Stay tuned for more. I am off to soak up a rainy Paris Sunday.
