This Week: A New Destination
I am off for a holiday with my husband to Greece. This is a trip I have been looking forward to for so long. It has been on my bucket list for over 10 years, and this trip is with the whole family. Lots of moving parts, ages, and destinations. Stay tuned for notes from Greece once we touch down.
At Home:
Our house project is finally finished for now. We needed to do some maintenance work and painting, which lasted longer than we anticipated. (it always does) Since we had some patching and leaks in our bathroom, we decided to change the color and brighten the space. My husband and I both agree that we love it. If you are in Chicago, we used KC Painting and loved them. Tell Adam that I sent you if you are looking for a painter in Chicago. It is a father-son duo!
I asked them if I could share this after our great experience.
We had a heat wave in Chicago this week. Henri got to play in the pool with his bestie next door and was tuckered out at the end of the day. He couldn’t settle down during the day and, at the very end, finally exhaled into a deep sleep. I now have to order him a baby pool for our backyard with fish.
Our garden is thriving right now, and I love these pops of color every day. I do think we need these green Luxembourg-inspired chairs. Don’t you agree?
A Few Things I am Loving:
Away sent me this new piece of luggage that my husband immediately stole from me. The inside is so cute and feels perfect for our adventure in Greece.
J.Crew swimsuits are the best. I ordered a few from Boden that did not arrive in time. As I was trying on everything at a rapid pace before throwing items into the bag, I fell back on my trusty J.Crew suits, which are years old.
These are the only pants I packed for Greece. I am anticipating warm weather, and I packed mostly dresses and skirts.
My dad and husband both love these linen shirts. I just bought a few more for my husband, and I can guarantee my dad will be packing his.
On the blog, I wrote what to pack for Paris in the summer.
This week’s Best Sellers include:
Chloe dress. I packed this for Paris, and it traveled so well. Adorable and comes in a light blue too.
Green Luxembourg-inspired Chairs. This is a set of two.
My favorite New Balance sneakers, I walked 25,000 steps in.
The pink polish I have been wearing on repeat this summer
Frank and Eileen navy sweater I packed for California.
