Weekend Reading 46
Francophile Gift Guide, upcoming travels, home updates
Hello from Boston! We had a speedy trip here to visit friends and walk for lung cancer awareness. Having a social platform like Substack also allows me to help bring this organization to mind and heart.
Travel starts to ramp up again over the next couple of months after an extended period at home. I am looking forward to seeing my family in Florida this November. My niece is starting to watch Gilmore Girls, and I cannot wait to snuggle with her and watch alongside her.
Sunday Reading is up on the blog! Grab your coffee and croissants. They are good all the way to the very last link.
Our new bed and mattress arrive on Monday. I have a lot of organizing and purging to do this Sunday. Currently, delayed in Boston by three hours. Fingers crossed we make it home safely tonight.
This Splendid sweater has been worn on repeat! Wearing a size small.
New suitcase carrying the Antler bag in green. It rolls great, well designed, and I didn’t have anyone accidentally take it at the airport. Use code SHOPMYXREBECCA for 20% off. This is a great deal and makes a fabulous gift for a traveler. They have so many great items on their site.
The bag on top is from Cuyana and since we had a quick domestic trip, this was my preferred bag. I have the larger zip tote with the 15” laptop inside and it fits underneath the seat. I also carry this little pouch with my airpods and charger for quick access. Plus, I love the cherry red color. It is just back for the season and only around for a limited time.
This Week
Gift Guides are starting to roll out. The first one is The Francophile Guide. I tried a new format. Curious if you think this way is easier to shop. You can also see last year’s guide here. This is the Gift Guide I love the most to create. Coming up next, Gift Guide for Him. I always struggle with ideas for my husband. The answer as he and a few other guys chimed in, they are easier than we think. Simple and to the point is the way to go. While I am the cook in the house, my husband has requested a pan with a glass lid for years.
One of my favorite discoveries this year is Cadence. I will be gifting these sets to family and friends. They are perfect for the traveler. The Merlot set is a new favorite and very on trend, thanks to its beautiful burgundy color.
On the flight home, after multiple delays, I watched Something’s Gotta Give. It had been years since I watched this, and I didn’t love it the first round. I really enjoyed it this second time and now get why so many people rush to Le Grand Colbert in Paris. The soundtrack is what got me dreaming of Paris, and I will be playing it this Sunday.
My friend Shana who lives in Paris with an incredible design eye is offering design consultations! You can work with her in person or virtually.
I recently discovered a new clean home brand for cleaning supplies. Our dishwasher hated our pods. I purchased a set of plastic-free pods and am very excited. It’s the little things. I will report back. I also bought washing machine soap pods.
Sarah Flint is running a sale for $111 off almost everything! It is worth checking out. Use the code SINGLE to save.
My red bracelet is back in stock at Sézane. I picked up a bunch of gift items from their gift shop.
Confirming these brown Keds are even more adorable in person! Plus, they are $60.
If a fragrance is on your holiday wish list, it's currently 15% off at Nordstrom. Worth taking a look!
I did not get any good new recipes this week due to the craziness of book events. Christmas cookies are on my mind, and I am already starting to stock up on cookie tins. Target has some of the best ones. These sell out quickly and were one of my most clicked items ALL year in 2025.
My niece found this sweatshirt while shopping with my sister, who is requesting it for the holidays.
Adding this matching set (pants) and (shirt) to my wish list for the holidays. The price is incredible for activewear.
This Week’s Paris Dog of The Day
The above photo is from a shop in Montmartre and may have been one of the first photos that sparked the excitement of Paris Dog of the Day.
