Weekend Reading #53
Why I am skipping the year-end recap
I have thought a lot about the year-end recaps and roundups filling my Instagram feed and inbox. In my first year as a blogger, I felt the pressure to recap my year because everyone else did. Then I realized, it wasn’t me, and I was trying to fit into something that I wasn’t. I prefer to stay in my own lane and focus on my path, not trying to keep up with everyone else.
This year, I have seen friends struggle with loss and breakups. I have also seen some fall in love, and others welcome new babies. There have been ups and downs for everyone. While these are moments friends have shared with me, other moments have been internalized and kept private. We never know what people are going through. This is a friendly reminder to be kind and patient, especially during the holiday season.
Sunday Reading: Links I Love What You Loved the Most in 2025
Between Christmas in New Years’s is a time I take off, spend with family, nap daily, and read as many books as possible. Sunday Reading is up on the blog and includes all the articles you loved, clicked, and read the most in 2025.

A small ritual for the year ahead: Tout est possible (All is Possible)
If you have one of my Tout est possible cards, I would love for you to take it out now. These were gifted with calendar orders and at book talks for Paris Every Day in 2025. And if you don’t, a simple piece of paper also works. I usually do this on hotel stationery when we are traveling over the holidays.
At the top of the card, write: year 2026.
You can use this space to write your dreams, goals, and what you want most out of 2026. There are no rules. Use this as a prompt to write what you would like to see happen in the next year, over a few years, or within a decade.
When you are done, take the card and put it where you will find it again. Your bedside table, fridge, daily journal, or vanity. Putting what you want out in the world takes two parts: you need to write down what you want, but you also have to work hard to get yourself there.
I can’t wait to see what 2026 and tout est possible brings for you. Please share below or email me. I can’t wait to cheer you on in the new year.
