I adore European pharmacies! They always have the best finds. I also love that you buy butter when you’re in Paris. I only recently started buying salted butter at home (in Canada). For years I would only eat it at a friend’s home — an unintentional habit — and she made the comment, “you know you’re an adult, you can buy any kind of butter you want!” After I exclaimed how yummy it was. Good butter is essential.

Rebecca, I just received your book. Will you sign it if I mail it to you, I will include return postage, to what address should I send it? Your book was in my mailbox when I came home from a stressful day of work. Made my day much, much better to see the beautiful pictures of you and your family and of course Paris.

Hi Kim!

I am so sorry about your stressful day of work. I am happy to hear Paris Every Day put a smile on your face and brightened your day. Would you be interested in a signed book plate to add to your book? It might be pricey to send back and forth. Or you can order a signed copy directly through me. Let me know what you prefer.

xo

Wonderful, a signed book plate! I was in Paris in April with Victoria Magazine. We went to La Cuisine Paris and met Jane, love her book. My address is: Kim Mayo, 1660 Colonist Sq Sw, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.

Rebecca - thank you for bringing Paris to life in all seasons! Now that I am visiting Paris frequently to see my daughter, I, too, have started packing ziplocks and mini ice packs for bringing home butter in my checked luggage. Question about chocolate - can you expand your suggestions to include a few more options? Buying chocolate in Paris can be like buying a piece of jewelry and sometimes more casual options are hard to find. Merci!

Hi Julie,

Absolutely! Are you looking for more shops that sell chocolate or specific items with chocolate in Paris?

Fantastic list - and I love those eye masks. Have to find for my husband - when we get upgraded on flights, he asks them not to wake him. These would be perfect

Very timely article as I’m flushing out my husband and I’s time in Paris in September. Can’t wait to bring home some butter! Cheers!

Loved this article! I’ve only been to Paris once, back in 2006.

I must have died and went to heaven the first time I tasted butter in France. I thought I was the only one who packed it in my return suitcase! I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one 😊❤️

I love hearing what you brought back home.

My suitcase is filled with products from a citipharma 💕. Monoprix for inexpensive souvenirs. Love shopping at the grocery store stocking up on jams. My gf once brought home some Comte cheese RIP.
